The Rotary Club of Garki was chattered on Saturday, 13 May, 1989 at a colourful ceremony held at Agura Hotel, Abuja, having operated as a provisional Club for one(1) year (ie from 1988/89) at the occasion. The induction of the Chapter President, Rotn Francis O Ekpekurede was performed by Past President of Rotary Club of Abuja, Rotn P O Omololu, who in turn inducted the Club's pioneer Members and the Board of Directors. Rotary Club of Garki has really grown from strength to strength with membership strata that cuts across various classifications. Rotary Club of Garki is one of the most formidable Clubs in the Abuja metropolis and within District 9125. Rotary Club of Garki has won many Awards from Rotary International, District9125 and Zonal levels. Over the years, the Club has embarked on several Social, Health and Human Service Projects in the Federal Capital Territory.
